We get it. Doing laundry can be a chore. But it shouldn’t feel like it can't be conquered. We got into this business because like you, we want to reclaim our time for what matters most: family, friends, and being able to relax instead of spending valuable free time on laundry.
A Letter from the Founder
I got into the laundromat business because I saw a need for a cleaner, safer, and more convenient laundry experience.
I grew up in East Tennessee and have lived here my whole life, but travel for a living. I am married with three children. I understand how the busyness of life can become a challenge with family, jobs, extracurriculars, etc.
In addition to improving the self-serve laundry experience, I believed I could still make laundry more convenient, so we launched our pickup and delivery service in 2024. Our team handles all types of laundry for everyday situations. It could be a one-time thing for someone passing through town, or a family just home from a vacation. Or it could be a weekly chore lifted from a college student or busy family. Sometimes your washer is broken or you just need to wash a king size comforter. Or maybe you’re in an extended-stay work situation without personal amenities. We’ve helped out-of-town customers manage laundry needs for their local elderly parents, as well as a variety of businesses with different needs. We’ve seen friends gift our services to each other after a new baby or a surgery.
Whatever the need, we have you covered so you can stress less, and live more! My commitment to you is that we will treat everyone with courtesy, respect, and provide the best customer service possible.

The Evolution of Our Laundry
We first opened our doors as Tropic Breeze Coin Laundromat in North Knoxville in 2020. When we first acquired the location, we did some considerable work in renovating the interior and outfitting it with new machines and adding a wash and fold service counter and storage area.

At Knox Laundry, we’re committed to:
- Cleanliness: Our washers and dryers are always clean and well-maintained. We also provide a clean and inviting atmosphere for our customers.
- Safety: We have a security system in place to keep our customers safe.
- Fast: Our new washing machines extract more water from the clothing making drying time less time consuming. Our new dryers have a reverse cycle to help speed up drying time as well.
